Softball Game Preview: Thomas A. Edison Owls vs. Prep Charter Huskies

The Thomas A. Edison Owls will head out to take on the Prep Charter Huskies at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Thomas A. Edison has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with seven straight losses, while Prep Charter will come in with five straight wins.

Thomas A. Edison lost 21-9 to Nueva Esperanza on Thursday.

Meanwhile, in Tuesday's Canine Competition, Prep Charter came out on top. They never let Penn Treaty get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Tuesday. Fans of the Huskies have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Prep Charter's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 16.5 runs this season. As for Thomas A. Edison, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Thomas A. Edison came out on top in a nail-biter against Prep Charter in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 19-17. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Owls since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
