Linton-Stockton had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Monrovia Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 win on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Miners in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won six in a row.

While Linton-Stockton won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-8, 25-23.

Linton-Stockton found their leader in sophomore Taylor Warrick, who had 16 digs and two assists.

Linton-Stockton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Monrovia only served six aces.

Linton-Stockton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Vincennes Lincoln on the 18th. As for Monrovia, they will host Western Boone at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
