Basketball Recap: Nyisah Miranda Key Part of Team Effort in Panthers Win

Avon lost to Bristol-Plymouth RVT back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Avon Panthers came out on top against the Bristol-Plymouth RVT Craftsmen by a score of 54-46. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Avon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nyisah Miranda led the charge by dropping a double-double with 20 points and ten assists. Miranda has become a key player for Avon: the team is 12-4 when he posts at least eight assists, but 1-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Edwards, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten rebounds.

Avon's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Bristol-Plymouth RVT, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Avon nor Bristol-Plymouth RVT have any future games scheduled.
