Basketball Recap: Houston Academy Falls to Providence Christian in First Game of Season

Houston Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 72-44 loss at the hands of the Providence Christian Eagles on Tuesday. The Raiders lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 71-64 score last time.

Providence Christian's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Houston Academy will welcome Ashford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Providence Christian, they will host Rehobeth at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Rehobeth's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
