Soccer Recap: Atascadero Finishes Even with St. Joseph

Atascadero pushed their score to four the last time they played St. Joseph, but on Friday they couldn't quite do it again. Both finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Greyhounds have been dealt a draw since back in December of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Zach Benedix, who's now up to six this season.

Atascadero's draw gives them a new season record of 11-8-3. Meanwhile, St. Joseph's record is now 4-8-2.

Atascadero wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Santa Ynez on the 28th. As for St. Joseph, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 3-3 draw against Lompoc on the 28th.
