Basketball Recap: Eastern Alamance Piles Up the Points Against South Granville + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eastern Alamance). They took their matchup on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 77-36 win over the South Granville Vikings. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Aliya Trollinger produced another solid performance almost dropping a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, she now owns an excellent 45.2% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Scott, who shot 71% from the field en route to 12 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Eastern Alamance was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Granville only posted two.

Despite the loss, South Granville still got an impressive performance from Lilah Penigar, who went 8-for-18 on her way to 26 points and eight rebounds. That was a full 72.2% of the Vikings' points, marking the fourth time in a row Penigar has posted more than a third of the team's points.

Eastern Alamance's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for South Granville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Eastern Alamance didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-60 defeat against Northern Guilford on the 10th. As for South Granville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 54-50 victory against Vance Charter on the 10th.
