Volleyball Recap: Cross County's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Cross County barely beat Meridian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17, 25-13.

Cross County found their leader in sophomore Ella Cramer, who had 11 digs and four assists. Eastyn David also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Cross County's win bumped their record up to 20-8. As for Meridian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11.

Meridian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against McCool Junction on the 18th. Hopefully Cross County paid attention to the Mustangs' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Mustangs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
