Football Recap: Miramar Comes Up Short

Miramar fell victim to Mater Academy Charter and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 20-0. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Mater Academy Charter got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kimbriq Minnis out in front who rushed for 70 yards and one TD on only eight carries.

This is the second loss in a row for Miramar and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Mater Academy Charter, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Miramar didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 21-17 defeat against Dillard on the 20th. As for Mater Academy Charter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 42-0 victory against Everglades on the 19th.
