Basketball Recap: Valley Takes a Loss

Valley came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against the Central Yellow Jackets, falling 77-43. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 35th).

Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 21-5. As for Central, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-6.

Looking ahead, Valley will head out on the road to face off against Grace M. James Academy of Excellence at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Central, they will challenge Fern Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
