Softball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends St. Cecilia Academy's Winning Streak

St. Cecilia Academy dropped their record down to 8-5 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 17-10 to the Christian Community Colts. Even if the Scarabs couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

As for Christian Community, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-4. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Christian Community's part, Lilly Duvall was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of KK West, who went 3-for-4 with four runs and one stolen base.

Looking ahead, St. Cecilia Academy will square off against Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Christian Community, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Clarksville Christian at 5:00 p.m. on May 2.
