Basketball Game Preview: Franklin County Lions vs. Cherokee Bluff Bears

The Franklin County Lions will venture away from home to take on the Cherokee Bluff Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Franklin County managed to keep up with Daniel until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Franklin County lost 66-41 to Daniel. While losing is never fun, Franklin County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 179th in Georgia, while Daniel is ranked 29th in South Carolina).

Meanwhile, Cherokee Bluff hadn't done well against Banks County recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Cherokee Bluff took down Banks County 52-37.

Cherokee Bluff is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Franklin County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Franklin County came up short against Cherokee Bluff in their previous matchup back in November, falling 50-37. Can Franklin County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
