Soccer Recap: North Platte Takes a Loss

North Platte was the 1-0 winner over Grand Island when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Islanders by a score of 1-0 on Monday. North Platte have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Platte's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Grand Island, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Platte will face off against Lincoln Northeast at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. North Platte are facing Lincoln Northeast at the right time seeing as Lincoln Northeast are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Grand Island, they will square off against Lincoln High at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lincoln High's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
