Andrew dropped their record down to 20-10 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Lockport Porters by a score of 2-1. The Thunderbolts were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but the Porters' pitchers proved too tough.

As for Lockport, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games.

For Lockport's part, Anthony Farina spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits. Farina has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lockport's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Flood, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Looking ahead, Andrew will be playing in front of their home fans against Morris at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Redskins will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Thunderbolts surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lockport, they will take on Montini Catholic in a tournament on Wednesday.
