Averill Park is a perfect 3-0 against Saugerties since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Sawyers at 10:00 a.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Averill Park's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Friday's struggle, when Colonie Central hitters got past them. The Warriors lost 15-3 to the Wolfpack on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Warriors have suffered since April 23rd.

New Paltz hit Saugerties with a seven-run fourth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Sawyers came up short against the Huguenots, falling 12-3. The Sawyers haven't had much luck with the Huguenots recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Averill Park's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8-1. As for Saugerties, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Averill Park skirted past Saugerties 4-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Sawyers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
