Basketball Recap: Mt. Pulaski Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Mt. Pulaski hadn't done well against Athens recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Mt. Pulaski Hilltoppers walked away with a 57-47 win over the Athens Warriors. The victory was some much needed relief for the Hilltoppers as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Mt. Pulaski picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-6. As for Athens, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-1.

Mt. Pulaski will be taking part in a tournament against Heritage at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Mt. Pulaski is facing Heritage at the right time seeing as Heritage is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Athens will take on Calvary in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
