Volleyball Recap: Shenendehowa Extends Winning Streak to Nine

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Shenendehowa had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Corning-Painted Post Hawks. The win was familiar territory for the Plainsmen, who have now won nine contests in a row.

Shenendehowa had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-21.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Shenendehowa to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacey Bitter, who had 15 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Bitter has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Trent, who had 12 digs.

Shenendehowa's victory bumped their record up to 34-8-3. As for Corning-Painted Post, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 12 matches and leaves them with a 15-5-1 record.

As of now, neither Shenendehowa nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
