Basketball Recap: Deer Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Kaden Moore and Mason Guinnip

Deer lost against Alpena back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Deer Antlers lost 67-41 to the Alpena Leopards. The Antlers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Deer's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Mason Guinnip, who posted 12 points, and Kaden Moore, who put up 12 points. Another player making a difference was Jesse Gunter, who had five points.

Deer's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Alpena, with the win, they broke their nine-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-10.

Deer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 57-39 victory against Mount Judea on the 12th. As for Alpena, they will take on Ozark Catholic Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ozark Catholic Academy will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Alpena surely won't give up without a fight.
