Basketball Recap: Shenandoah Raiders vs. Northeastern Knights
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Shenandoah can now relate to. They fell 48-38 to the Northeastern Knights on Friday. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
It was another big night for Landon Scarrette, who posted 16 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals for Northeastern. That's the most boards Scarrette has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tre Vanlandingham, who went 5-for-9 en route to 10 points.
Shenandoah's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Northeastern, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-1.
Shenandoah does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northeastern, they and Centerville will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Northeastern is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.9 points per game this season.
