Softball Recap: Blacklick Valley Takes a Loss

After flying high against United last Monday, Blacklick Valley came back down to earth. Blacklick Valley lost 16-3 to the Ferndale Yellow Jackets on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Yellow Jackets: they've now lost seven in a row.

Lauren Rohrabaugh made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Vasilko, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Blacklick Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Ferndale, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blacklick Valley will head out to take on Purchase Line at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ferndale, they will venture away from home to square off against United at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
