Volleyball Recap: Omaha Christian Takes a Loss

Omaha Christian lost against Brownell Talbot back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Guardians lost 3-0 to the Raiders. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Guardians have suffered against the Raiders since October 20, 2020.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-13, 25-9.

Ruby Colling paced Omaha Christian's offense, picking up five kills. Colling got some help from Iahna Hendrick and her seven assists. Colling was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Brownell Talbot was led to victory by Becky Hoban and Olivia Grogan. Hoban had six digs and two aces, while Grogan had 14 digs and four aces. Hoban is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 15 games she's played dating back to last season.

Omaha Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Brownell Talbot, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Omaha Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against College View Academy on the 23rd. As for Brownell Talbot, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Mead on the 23rd.
