Basketball Recap: Marist's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

Marist won the last time they faced North Bend and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Marist Spartans enjoyed a cozy 58-44 win over the North Bend Bulldogs. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 179th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Marist's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for North Bend, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.
