Volleyball Recap: Bellflower Comes Up Short

Bellflower was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Carson Colts.

While Bellflower was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-23, 25-11.

Pearl Madrigal paced Bellflower's offense, picking up six kills. Madrigal got some help from Valerie Rivas and her 15 assists.

Carson was led to victory by Sam Lee and Nahla Castillo. Lee had five digs and three aces, while Castillo had five aces. Those five aces gave Castillo a new career-high.

Bellflower's loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Bellflower didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against South on the 26th. As for Carson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against South East on the 25th.
