Basketball Game Preview: Family Christian Academy Lions vs. Circle Christian Centurions

The Family Christian Academy Lions will head out on the road to take on the Circle Christian Centurions at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Family Christian Academy is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Back in December of 2024, Family Christian Academy came up short against Christian Learning Academy and fell 61-52.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ezra Rivera, who went 5 for 6 on his way to 12 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Cabrera, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 17 points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Circle Christian also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Key West by a score of 58-48. While losing is never fun, the Centurions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 745th, while the Conchs are ranked 334th).

Family Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Circle Christian, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-7.

Family Christian Academy came up short against Circle Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 60-56. Can Family Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
