It was a good run, but Northside unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-match winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Northside was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 25-18.

Reagan Robertson paced Northside's offense, picking up ten kills. Robertson got some help from Aiden Sharbutt and her 27 assists. Bailee Horton controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Northside's defeat dropped their record down to 27-3. As for John Carroll Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-10 record this season.

Northside will be taking part in a tournament against Decatur at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for John Carroll Catholic, they will take on Muscle Shoals in a tournament on Saturday.
