Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newark Catholic). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Liberty Christian Academy Eagles a 24-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering the Green Wave have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Newark Catholic's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-9. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Liberty Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-7.

As of now, neither Newark Catholic nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
