Northwest Crossroads recap October 22, 2013
Andrean added to the longest winning streak in Northwest Crossroads this week by beating Lowell, 42-28. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Griffith took down Bowman Academy 63-38 last week, the largest margin of any game. Justin Green ran for 154 yards in the win.
Munster's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Joe Jumonville threw for 74 and 1 touchdown and Zack Pickett had 58 yards receiving. On the ground Alex Mis contributed 200 yards. Joe Johnston helped Munster's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 16 yards.
The Mustangs' dynamic duo of Jumonville and Pickett proved tough for Kankakee Valley to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Johnston helped Munster's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 16 yards.
Mis provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Munster beat the Kougars. Mis' favorite target this week was Pickett, who caught 2 passes for 58 yards.
Hobart's Andrew Barras and Drey Devereaux led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Barras has thrown for 1,172 yards this season, while Devereaux has 39 catches for 607 yards. The Red Devils' George Fields leads the league in rushing yards with 1,190.
The Panthers led the league in scoring this week after putting up 63 points on the Eagles. Green ran for 154 yards during the win.
