Football Game Preview: Fayetteville vs. Wheeling Central Catholic

Wheeling Central Catholic have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Fayetteville at 7:00 PM. Each team will be battling to keep a win streak alive as Wheeling Central Catholic skips in on three wins and Fayetteville on four.

Wheeling Central Catholic put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season two weeks ago. They put a hurting on East Hardy to the tune of 47-7. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Wheeling Central Catholic had established a 47-7 advantage.

Meanwhile, Fayetteville's and Meadow Bridge's game last week was close at halftime, but Fayetteville turned on the heat in the second half. Fayetteville made easy work of Meadow Bridge and carried off a 38-16 win.

Their wins bumped Fayetteville to 4-0 and Wheeling Central Catholic to 3-0. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up.
