La Jolla Country Day had already won ten in a row and they went ahead and made it 11 on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Santa Fe Christian Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win. The Torreys have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

While La Jolla Country Day won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-15, 25-21.

Their offense was headlined by Tatum Epstein and Emma Demirovic, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Alice Burgett and her 31 assists. Epstein also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Olina Shi, each putting up four.

La Jolla Country Day's victory bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Santa Fe Christian, they dropped their record down to 10-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
