Volleyball Recap: St. John's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

St. John entered their tilt with Maplewood on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Rockets 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Fighting Herald also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

St. John never let Maplewood on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21, 25-23.

St. John was led to victory by Breelyn Graham and Alexa Jordan. Graham had 11 digs and two aces, while Jordan had 37 digs and four aces. That's the most digs Jordan has posted since back in August. Lilly Severino also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

St. John's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Maplewood, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. St. John is set to square off against their familiar foe Bristol at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Maplewood will take on rival Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
