Recap: Burncoat Patriots vs. Doherty Memorial Highlanders
The Burncoat Patriots's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They slipped by Doherty Memorial 59-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Burncoat got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jean Carlos Pimental out in front who scored 18 points. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jayden Mwangi, who scored 16 points.
Burncoat's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Doherty Memorial, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.
Burncoat will head out on the road to face off against St. Paul at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Paul has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 324 points over their last five matchups. As for Doherty Memorial, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South at 6:30 p.m. on January 17th.
