Basketball Recap: Carver Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Piedmont Classical on Friday, Carver came back down to earth. The Yellowjackets lost 53-28 to the North Forsyth Vikings on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost nine in a row.

North Forsyth found their leader in freshman MaKayla Griffin, who posted 21 points and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Griffin has scored at least a third of the Vikings' points. Ta'Niyah Warren was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Carver's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for North Forsyth, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Carver will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Atkins at 6:00 p.m. on December 11. As for North Forsyth, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-33 loss against East Forsyth on the 24th.
