Basketball Recap: L.C. Bird's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

L.C. Bird and Albemarle squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but L.C. Bird had to settle for second. They took a 53-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Albemarle Patriots. The game marked the Skyhawks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

With the loss, L.C. Bird broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-5. As for Albemarle, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season.

L.C. Bird will be taking part in a tournament against Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverside will roll in looking for their 20th straight win, something L.C. Bird surely won't give up without a fight. Albemarle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
