Baseball Recap: Clyde-Savannah Wins Going Away Against Marion

Clyde-Savannah came out on top against Marion on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 12-run third inning. The Golden Eagles put the hurt on the Black Knights with a sharp 18-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their matchups with the Black Knights: they've now won five in a row.

Clyde-Savannah got a massive performance out of Max Waldron, who went 3-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most runs Waldron has posted since back in April of 2024. Jackson Barr was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Clyde-Savannah always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Clyde-Savannah's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Marion, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
