Lamar has gone 8-2 against Rye recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Thunder will take on the Thunderbolts at 5:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Lamar is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Guymon on Tuesday. The Thunder and the Tigers finished up their contest with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Rye was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to St. Mary's. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Rye couldn't quite close it out.

Rye was without their leading scorer, Angelina Atencio, in Friday's game. With Atencio sidelined, Desiree Ruiz got her first action of the season.

Lamar's draw makes their record 2-2-1 this season. As for Rye, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Lamar was able to grind out a solid victory over Rye in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunder since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
