Niles North is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Maine East a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Niles North Vikings will be playing at home against the Maine East Blue Demons at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Niles North managed to slip by Highland Park the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Vikings lost 38-13 to the Giants on Friday.

Niles North's defeat came about despite a quality game from Adonis Williams, who rushed for 137 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 129 yards and one TD.

Meanwhile, Maine East fell victim to Maine West and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Warriors 49-0.

Niles North's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Maine East, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Niles North might still be hurting after the 30-7 loss they got from Maine East in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Vikings, Tryfon Giolas (who threw for 191 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 passes) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
