Basketball Recap: Front Range Baptist Skates Past Weldon Valley with Ease

Front Range Baptist won the last time they faced Weldon Valley and things went their way on Thursday too. The Front Range Baptist Falcons took their game with ease, bagging a 66-27 victory over the Weldon Valley Warriors. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

Front Range Baptist's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mark Sutton, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 boards. Sutton has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 12 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Rohan Galyardt, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards.

Front Range Baptist smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Weldon Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Dane Johnston, who posted six points. Noah Johnson also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Front Range Baptist's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Weldon Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Front Range Baptist wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 65-27 win against Rocky Mountain Lutheran on the 24th. Weldon Valley has also already played their next game, a 46-40 loss against Lone Star on the 24th.
