Softball Recap: Ridgeline Academy Has No Trouble Against Mission Heights Prep

Ridgeline Academy's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Mission Heights Prep Phantoms with a sharp 19-9 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by ten runs or more this season.

Gretchen Clower was incredible, firing off three doubles, three RBI, and two runs while going 4-for-4. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Laura Trevolt was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Ridgeline Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .562. Their batting average was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .409 that Mission Heights Prep posted.

Ridgeline Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Mission Heights Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Coming up, Ridgeline Academy will challenge Maricopa Institute of Technology at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mission Heights Prep, they will square off against Imagine Prep Superstition at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Phantoms are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
