Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Memorial

After losing to Emerson the last time they met, Memorial decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warriors walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Mavericks on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on four straight.

Megan Wilson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Caiden Coleman was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Zoey Chasko was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Memorial's record is now 13-9. As for Emerson, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Memorial is set to challenge their familiar foe Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Emerson will face off against rival Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
