Basketball Game Preview: Atchison Phoenix vs. Perry-Lecompton Kaws

The Atchison Phoenix will take on the Perry-Lecompton Kaws in a tournament on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Wednesday, Atchison had to suffer through a 64-26 loss at the hands of Oskaloosa.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Perry-Lecompton and Rossville meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Kaws fell 54-44 to the Bulldogs. The Kaws' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Atchison now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for Perry-Lecompton, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
