Basketball Game Preview: Watkins Memorial Warriors vs. Central Crossing Comets

The Watkins Memorial Warriors and the Central Crossing Comets will round out the year against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Watkins Memorial has given up an average of 54.8 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Saturday, it was close, but Watkins Memorial sidestepped Indian Valley for a 74-72 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Meanwhile, Central Crossing was not able to break out of their rough patch last Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-54 heartbreaker at the hands of Logan.

Central Crossing's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Watkins Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Watkins Memorial didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Central Crossing when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 40-35 victory. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Comets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
