After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bloomington South, Bloomington North was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Southport Cardinals. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Bloomington North's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Their offense was hitting Southport from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Daphne Wright led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Bloomington North's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3-1 and their overall record up to 6-5-1. As for Southport, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Looking ahead, Bloomington North will host Edgewood at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Edgewood will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Bloomington North surely won't give up without a fight. As for Southport, they will head out to take on Franklin Community at 5:30 p.m. on the 29th.
