Basketball Game Preview: Little Wound Mustangs vs. Lakota Tech Tatanka

Little Wound hasn't had much luck against Lakota Tech recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Little Wound Mustangs will venture away from home to challenge the Lakota Tech Tatanka at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 67-40, which was the final score in Little Wound's tilt against Pine Ridge on Saturday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Lakota Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-51 heartbreaker at the hands of Garretson.

Lakota Tech's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Little Wound, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Little Wound came up short against Lakota Tech in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 60-54. Can Little Wound avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
