Copper Canyon's tournament run continued when they took on Cactus Shadows on Friday. Copper Canyon was dealt a 49-14 defeat at the hands of Cactus Shadows. While losing is never fun, the Aztecs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 270th, while the Falcons are ranked 91st).

Meanwhile, Kellis came up short against Bingham back in December of 2024 and fell 53-44. The match marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Copper Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Kellis, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-2.

Copper Canyon strolled past Kellis in their previous meeting back in December of 2017 by a score of 42-23. The rematch might be a little tougher for Copper Canyon since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
