Heritage Christian posted their closest win since February 17, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Chaminade Eagles 7-6. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Brooklyn Mireles spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Aubrey Akins was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. Erika Laufer was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Akins wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Heritage Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since the start of last season.

The victory made it two in a row for Heritage Christian and bumps their season record up to 6-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Chaminade, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Heritage Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 17-0 victory against Glendale on the 20th. As for Chaminade, they have also already played their next matchup, an 8-0 win against Arbor View on the 20th.
