Flag Football Game Preview: Western Guilford Hornets vs. Grimsley Whirlies

The Western Guilford Hornets are taking a road trip to face off against the Grimsley Whirlies at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Western Guilford 7.4, Grimsley 2.7) so any points scored will be well earned.

Western Guilford barely beat Northern Guilford the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hornets' defense stepped up to hand the Nighthawks a 21-0 shutout on Saturday. The contest marked the Hornets' most dominant victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Grimsley entered their tilt with Ben L. Smith on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They breezed past the Golden Eagles to the tune of 34-6. The result was nothing new for the Whirlies, who have now won four games by 25 points or more so far this season.

Western Guilford's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Grimsley, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
