Basketball Recap: Bryan Takes a Loss

Bryan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 53-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vidor Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 839th, while the Pirates are ranked 277th).

Bryan's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Vidor, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bryan will take on Midway in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Midway has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Vidor and Jasper will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
