Soccer Recap: Phoebus Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hampton on Tuesday, Phoebus came back down to earth. The Phantoms came up short against the Granby Comets on Wednesday, falling 7-2. Phoebus were not able to make up for their loss to Granby from their previous meeting back in March of 2019.

Phoebus' defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Granby, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2-2.

Phoebus has already played their next matchup, a 9-0 victory against Booker T. Washington on the 24th. As for Granby, they will challenge Churchland at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Granby's defense better be ready for this one: Churchland have averaged an impressive 3.6 goals per game this season.
