Baseball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Christian Comes Up Short at Home Against Cornerstone Christian

Mt. Pleasant Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Cornerstone Christian Eagles on Tuesday, falling 9-3. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

The victory was the eighth in a row (dating back to last season) for Cornerstone Christian, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Pleasant Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Evangel Christian at 6:00 p.m. on April 1st. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up.
