Elijah Burris leads Brazosport Christian to victory over Beren Academy

The Brazosport Christian Eagles entered their tilt with Beren Academy with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Brazosport Christian snuck past Beren Academy with a 48-43 win on Thursday. 48 seems to be a good number for Brazosport Christian as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Elijah Burris was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Ethan Nelson, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Brazosport Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. As for Beren Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brazosport Christian will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Memorial Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Beren Academy, they will face off against Second Baptist University-Model at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
