Soccer Game Preview: Denver Christian vs. St. Mary's Academy

The Denver Christian Thunder will take on the St. Mary's Academy Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Denver Christian's offense. They fell just short of Colorado Springs Christian by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for Denver Christian in their meetings with Colorado Springs Christian: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, St. Mary's Academy has been on a difficult stretch since their win on March 14. They lost 10-1 to Colorado Academy on Thursday. St. Mary's Academy were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 7-1.

Their goal came courtesy of Hannah Records, who's now up to four this season.

Denver Christian now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for St. Mary's Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4-1.

Denver Christian skirted past St. Mary's Academy 3-2 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Will the Thunder repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
